Hello, I'm Nick Casey, co-founder and racing driver of Box3 Motorsport. Today we're at Donington, and we are here for testing at the beginning of season 2026 BritCar.

Our partnership with Datum has just grown from strength to strength. What started off as just a conversation in the garage has turned into a really valuable partnership with them, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen that partnership as we grow into Journey 26 and beyond.

Objectives today at Donington: it's our first testing session out in the new car. It isn't about setting lap times; it's about just getting and finding my comfort levels with the car, and the car with me.

A little bit of rain—and well, we all know what happened last time I went out in the rain. But this time we've got traction control, got ABS, so I've turned it all up a bit to make sure I'm staying in the safe area.

It was good to go and explore the car, especially because it got a little bit quieter so I could explore the wetter settings. The race is going to continue if it's like this, and we'll stay out on slicks. So yeah, it's important to go out and discover what I and the car can do.

It's really noticeable, like turning it through from full on to full off—you can really notice the various different steps. And the same with the traction control too, actually. I think that probably saved me at Melbourne Hairpin recently.

There's another two sessions after lunch. This session is not finished—it's red flagged. I think there's about another eight minutes left, so we'll try and get out and make the most of it if we can. We have got a new set of tyres on; they've got a little bit of temperature in them still, so hopefully we can go and make the most of it.

Really looking forward to the 2026 season with Box3. I hope you enjoy following us and watching us as we move our way through. Don't forget to like and subscribe, and if you've got any comments or questions, give us a shout.
